Undeterred by the current cultural climate and the far-reaching impact COVID-19 has had on its future, Night Time Economy Advisor Sacha Lord and Greater Manchester’s Combined Authority’s Culture Team have joined forced to bring entertainment direct to viewers’ homes. Launching this week, UnitedWeStream.co.uk promises to deliver a variety of live-music and comedy performances from a range of well-known names from 7pm each evening, with an optional donation feature allowing viewers to support the city’s local nightlife scene. Overall, content will be free to enjoy however audiences can buy a digital ticket at a pay-what-you-like price with all income going to a variety of worthy causes alongside local music venues, restaurants, bars and freelancers impacted by the current crisis. Line-ups will change week-to-week, with this week’s rosta boasting live music from Manchester’s own Twisted Wheel and Slow Reader’s Club, comedy from local comic Justin Moorhouse and even live-cookery lessons from chef Gary Usher. To keep up to date on line-up details, follow Sacha Lord on Twitter and be sure to head to UnitedWeStream.co.uk at 7pm each weekday to start viewing.
