Great news for fans of Tea Hive’s moreish cakes and laid back vibe… now you’ll be able to indulge in two locations, as they’re opening up in Alexandra Park in Whalley Range. They’ve already been popping up sporadically in the newly-refurbished park Pavilion for a couple of months, but this week they officially confirmed they’ll be there permanently as soon as they have everything up and running later in May. The original and excellent Chorlton branch is often full at lunchtimes and weekends, so the new addition will be music to the ears of Tea Hive’s loyal cake-lovers (try the salted caramel chocolate cake, it’s the stuff of sweet, sugary dreams). You don’t have to wait until they’ve fully kitted out their new Alexandra Park home to give it a try though, they’ll be popping up in the park this weekend from 10-6pm and will have a similar menu of breakfasts, seasonal salads, daily soup specials, sandwiches and of course, afternoon tea – once fully up and running.
