Award-winning choreographer and composer Dickson Mbi brings new show TELLUS to Lowry this February.

The production begins with a simple, intimate act, stemming from Dickson Mbi’s desire to tell his son a bedtime story.

This is no ordinary story, though; rather, it’s an epic drawn from Mbi’s Cameroonian heritage, inspired by the mythical deity Mami Wata, a life source of beauty and love whose power can also turn to destruction.

A mesmerising world is brought to life by eight dancers of global heritage, as intense physicality and grace blend with a powerful, immersive score that mixes lullaby and stirring chant.

Dickson Mbi’s TELLUS comes to Lowry Mon 9 Feb – Tue 10 Feb. Book your tickets below.
