Fairfield Social Club will play host to a charity beer tasting event on Sat 03 Aug in collaboration with Full Fat MCR and popular city centre beer vendors Beermoth. This afternoon-long event, which is separated into four separate sessions each boasting a different selection of drinks, will be supporting two great charities. Headway UK helps to raise funds for those who have been affected by brain injury and Keep Our NHS Public is an organisation dedicated to preventing the privatisation of our national health service. By buying a ticket to this afternoon beer-tasting, you’ll be supporting two great causes whilst getting the rare opportunity to sample a selection of Beermoth’s rare vintage bottles. The fun starts with a session from The Bruery Bois and their offering of a wine barrel-aged Saison blended with Lambic from Girardin. Next up, it’s Cantillon Grand Cru Bruocsella with their unblended three-year-old Lambic which was bottled back in 2013. From there, Fuller’s serve up a decade-old strong ale, all before Struise Ypres Reserva finish things off with a rare Flemish old brown ale aged for four years in Burgundy barrels. Tickets are priced £4.36 – £5.98 and available now.
