The AIR Open brings another impressive showcase of innovative art to Gorton

Returning for its seventh year, AIR Open 2024 is set to showcase an eclectic mix of innovative artists at Gorton’s Rogue Artist Studios CIC.

Promising ‘the most expansive and exciting iteration yet’, this year’s theme-free collection will span everything from video, fine art and drawing to sculpture, textiles and mixed media.

Each meticulously piece was chosen by a distinguished judging panel through an open-call submission process. Visitors will also have the chance to cast their votes for their favourite works, adding an interactive element to the event.

AIR is also set to launch a virtual gallery on the opening night, which will showcase the rest of the top 100 submissions that didn’t make the final collection.

The exhibition kicks off with a private view on Thu 15 Aug between 6pm-9pm, and will run until Sat 21 Sep, culminating in an open awards afternoon to celebrate the outstanding contributions of the artists.
