The award winning Great North Pie Co is coming to Manchester City Centre

Folks in Manchester City Centre will soon be able to tuck into delicious pies and pastries from The Great Northern Pie Co. Starting life in a humble home kitchen, these Northern-based pie producers work under a simple company ethos: ‘take something simple and create a real quality version of it’. By crafting their own takes on classic pies, alongside new bakes with a modern twist – each using locally sourced ingredients and an all-butter pastry recipe that delivers a light and crispy finish – their output quickly turned heads.

Popularity at farmers markets followed and before long, the Great North Pie Co were taking home the North West Fine Food Producer of the Year Award and going on to win 9 categories in the British Pie Awards. Not long after that, their mouth watering bakes  – which include drool-worth options like Swandale Beef Mince and Onion, Roast Chicken and Ham, and the Classic Lancashire Cheese and Onion – won the overall award, cementing their place among the North’s top pie experts.

Cut to 2020 and hungry fans will soon be able to enjoy their bakes at Escape To Freight Island’s recently-unveiled Winter Island from Saturday 19 December, with details of a permanent hub in the city centre reportedly coming soon. Talk about early Christmas come early!
