On Sat 21 Sep, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra kick off their 2024-25 season with an evening of breathtaking interstellar majesty across an unmissable concert programme featuring Holst, Beethoven and Grace Evangeline-Mason.

The wondrous opening show commences with Beethoven’s intricate, colourful Piano Concerto No.3 in G Minor, led by Chief Conductor John Storgårds and interpreted masterfully by Paul Lewis, before Holst’s sweeping, transcendent and deeply mystical cosmic odyssey transports audiences across the solar system, from Mars the Warrior to Neptune the Mystic, as the Philharmonic delivers a flawlessly beautiful rendition of the composer’s boundless musical vision.

Finally, RNCM alumnus Grace-Evangeline Mason conjures her own celestial soundscape with the ‘amorphous nocturne’ ABLAZE THE MOON, having premiered with the BBC Philharmonic at the BBC Proms last year.
