GRUB has long been a champion of the North’s street food vendors with their weekly events showcasing the better fodder the upper half of the country has to offer, and now it’s celebrating the many great beers the region produces with ‘The Beer Up Here’. From Buxton to Orkney, from Northern Ireland to Northumberland and from Yorkshire to Cumbria and plenty of Manchester beer The Beer Up Here will be pouring fantastic beers, mostly in pints, to the people of Manchester over the first weekend of July showing off 100 breweries & 200 beers. They have made sure to ‘keep it session’ with almost all of the beers at the festival falling into the ‘session beer’ category, and as it’s technically a GRUB event they will also be providing some excellent Northern eats courtesy of GF Pie Company and The Little Fishy. We’ll leave it to your active imagination to figure out what they serve up. The event is family and dog friendly with four sessions taking place over three days at Fairfield Social Club so why not get down and raise a glass to the kings of the North.

Fri 5 – Sun 7 Jul, Fairfield Social Club, Arch 6, Temperance Street, Manchester M12 6HR. £5 per session, Fri: 3-11pm, Sat: 12noon-5pm & 6pm-11pm, Sun: 12noon-8pm, www.eventbrite.co.uk
