To mark 30 years of being the leading representative of Chinese art in the UK, and aligned with the Chinese Year of the Monkey, The Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art have created a six month programme of events and exhibitions featuring 30 prestigious Chinese artists who have appeared in their extensive catalogue of exhibitions including: Cao Fei, Lee Mingwei, Tsang Kin-Wah and Susan Pui San Lok.

Chinese multimedia artist Cao Fei has made a video depicting the story of a post-apocalyptic metropolis, made entirely from filming sets and miniature models. Fri 4 – Sun 27 Mar 2016

‘The first trumpet in the new millennium’ by Tsang Kin-Wah
Tsang Kin-Wah’s new commission looks at our turbulent recent history following the new millennium, marked with destruction by the September 11 attacks in 2001. Fri 1 – Sun 24 April 2016

‘Between Going and Staying’ by Lee Mingwei
New York-based artist Lee Mingwei presents ‘Between Going and Staying’, an installation whereby fine black sand falls continuously through a broken light bulb in a dimly lit room, slowly filling the entire room. Fri 6 – Sun 29 May 2016

‘RoCH Fans and Legends’ by Susan Pui San Lok
To finish the 30 year exhibition programme, Susan Pui San Lok will be showing single-screen and multi-screen moving image works adapted from The Condor Trilogy, a classic Kung Fu novel series published in the late fifties. Fri 3 Jun – Sun 3 Jul 2016
