The Botanist, a new restaurant and bar, is set to open on Deansgate. The venue, which was formerly Label, was purchased by Living Ventures – the team behind The Alchemist, Australasia and Manchester House. After a £1 million refurbishment, it’s now a retro-styled pub with seating in an orangerie. As well as Living Ventures’ trademark cocktails, you can expect home comfort food – more like their Oast House offering – along the lines of rotisserie chicken, pie and chips, and scampi. This is the latest in the Botanist chain, following successful ventures in Alderley Edge, Leeds and Chester.
