Kill The Beast’s sell-out stage adaption of Tom Baker’s terrifying cult novel makes a triumphant return to The Lowry for one night only. Grossly comical, The Boy Who Kicked Pigs tells the story of Robert Caligari, a thirteen-year-old whose nasty habit of doing just that has finally caught up with him. Featuring talking piggybanks, a boy eaten by rats, shark mutilation and weedkiller cornflakes, it’s not quite what you’d expect from a typical kids’ show but it’s brilliantly imaginative, if not a little twisted. Hailed by What’s On Stage in their five star review as ‘inventive, clever, gruesome and hilarious,’ you’ll be kicking yourself if you miss it.
