Promising a new take on a ‘very old story’, with an interactive twist thrown in for good measure, the timeless tale of King Arthur and his knights comes to The Lowry on Thu 16 Feb.

Audience participation is essential in this unique production, with those in the crowd responsible for choosing which parts of the story are played out on stage.

Whether it’s the bit about the sword in the stone, Lancelot & Guinevere or the slightly bleaker choice of how Arthur dies, each performance is completely unique and entirely dependent on just how the audience is feeling that night.

An examination of British identity, our relationship with Europe and fake news, The Death of King Arthur delves into the legend we think we know, before asking exactly ‘what story do you want to believe?’
