The Excitements at Band on the Wall

The Excitements are a 60s-styled R&B powerhouse hailing from Barcelona, fronted vocally by the dynamic Koko Jean-Davis and backed by the tightest set of soul musicians this side of the Dap Kings. Touring in support of their second full length, Sometimes Too Much Ain’t Enough, it’s evident the past four years have sharpened their sound exponentially, both on record and on the stage. The band have a huge fanbase in Spain and across Europe, satisfying newcomers to the sound and purists alike. They absolutely tore Band on the Wall down during their last visit for the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club in 2012 – and you can catch them doing it again this Saturday. The warm-up comes from Groovement’s Agent J, spinning a top-quality variety of funk and soul.
