The Found Footage Festival at Night & Day Cafe

Night & Day Cafe tonight welcomes the Manchester leg of the Found Footage Festival, an ‘acclaimed showcase of odd and hilarious found videos’, in the vein of Adam Buxton’s BUG clips show. This event is part of an inaugural 10-date UK tour for the festival, which was founded in New York City in 2004 to screen VHS tapes discovered in North American thrift shops and garage sales. Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (Late Show with David Letterman) will host this evening’s screening, providing observations and commentary on found obscurities. From the curiously produced industrial training video to the forsaken home movie donated to charity, the festival resurrects these forgotten treasures and serves them up in a lively celebration of all things found.
