Running from Thu 30 Nov – Sat 2 Dec, the Good Enough Mums Club charts a hilariously honest and touchingly resonant journey through the highs and lows of motherhood with an ingenious new musical at The Lowry.

Equal parts soul-stirring and side-splitting, The Good Enough Mums Club sets about dispelling the marketable myths of maternity and instead offers a riotously unapologetic account of the shared reality for toddler mums around the nation.

When their local council threatens to close the local playground, five exhausted but freshly defiant women unite in the shared experience of motherhood to stand firm and overcome their seclusion, judgement and parental perfectionism to find new, unbound strength as a group. Through a series of poignant, funny, achingly relatable musical numbers, the Good Enough Mums Club discover the importance of friendship, community and that, above all else, being good enough is its own perfection.

Written, produced, directed and performed by mothers, The Good Enough Mums Club leaves no night’s sleep unbroken and no tantrum-induced snot unwiped in a hysterical, heartrendingly candid musical which is guaranteed to delight critics, parents and non-parents alike.

On Sat 2 Dec at 2.30pm, The Good Enough Mums Club runs a special baby and child-friendly matinee which welcomes parents and under-4s to a relaxed, family-oriented theatre performance where parents and toddlers can come and go as they need, feed your child whenever necessary and take emergency toilet breaks without having to shamble apologetically towards the aisle.
