On Sat 27 Jun, Manchester collective The Groove Chorus head to Albert Hall with a triumphant live celebration of dance music, disco and queer culture.
Defiantly eschewing the conventions of traditional choral performance, the group combine the scale and magic of an 80-strong choir with pulsating club anthems and live dance instrumentation, reworking floor-filling classics through a vibrant disco-pop lens. Backed by an eight-piece band, their shows channel the communal, transcendent spirit of nightlife culture while embracing the flamboyance and freedom and liberation that shaped generations of queer music scenes.
Since forming in 2022, The Groove Chorus have built a reputation for inclusive high-energy performances that blur the boundaries between gig, party and immersive spectacle, with mass singalongs, choreography and unapologetic camp at the centre of the experience.
Joining the lineup, drag performer KY Kelly and resident pole artist Amy Wrench bring additional flair to an unmissable night of shared euphoria.
