What does it take for an artist to return to Manchester, over 10 years since his last visit? The Haçienda, in Albert Hall, along with several other heavyweights. Let us present to you: Danny Tenaglia; a man whose history began when he stumbled across Larry Levan’s genre-spanning sets at Paradise Garage (New York). He is an esteemed Chicago house DJ and has produced mountains of tracks from artists including the Pet Shop Boys and Grace Jones; to skim the surface of it. He is joined by fellow NYC resident François K, considered by many as one of the fathers of house and who used to play with Larry Levan (hey, we’ve reached full circle). Also adding to this already spectacular line up is The Haçienda’s Mike Pickering, Justin Robertson and Jon Dasilva, who are all acclaimed wax-spinners in their own right. Let’s take this opportunity to go back to the ’80s.
