From musical missions with Santa to an evening of cosmic conquest with the original Star Wars score, the Hallé Orchestra bring their customary classical wizardry to a variety of performances guaranteed to delight newcomers and enthusiasts alike this Christmas.

Taking place across Thu 22 and Fri 23 Dec, the Hallé accompany a screening of Raymond Briggs’ animated classic The Snowman with a live rendition of Howard Blake’s magical score, before hosting ‘a magnificent evening of nostalgic dancefloor classics’ with a one-off celebration of Motown on Thu 29 Dec.

On Fri 30 Dec, the Hallé harness the force for a night of John Williams masterpieces from Star Wars – with galactic costumes encouraged – before the orchestra round off their festive schedule with a traditional Viennese New Year show, featuring waltzes, marches, polkas and operettas with Stephen Bell and guest soprano Rebecca Bottone.

For all evening Christmas concerts and Viennese New Year, under-30s are entitled to a 30% discount on tickets (excl. £3 student tickets).
