Uniting contemporary Iceland, romantic Russia and, for the first time, musical Manchester, the ISO performs for one night only at The Bridgewater Hall on Tue 25 Apr.

Joined by renowned British pianist Stephen Hough, the ISO and Chief Conductor Eva Ollikainen deliver a dazzling rendition of Sergei Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto – among the most celebrated in his repertoire – followed by another totemic masterpiece of Russian Romantic music, Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

Finally, the orchestra perform the Icelandic ‘modern-day treasure’ Metacosmos, Anna Thorvaldstottir’s captivating tone poem which draws sonic inspiration from falling into a black hole.

Ticket discounts are available for senior citizens, under 26s and claimants.
Student tickets £5.50
