Marking their long-awaited return to Manchester with another enchanting two-piano programme, the world-renowned Labèque sisters take to The Bridgewater Hall stage for an evening of musical delight featuring Debussy, Ravel and Glass on Tue 8 Apr.
Having ‘transformed the piano duo’ (New York Times) across a fifty-year career, the sisters continue to innovate the form with wildly creative programming and signature flair.
The concert opens in Belle Époque Paris, with Debussy’s rarely played set of six sublime miniatures, alongside Ravel’s Mother Goose, played in the composer’s original piano duet arrangement.
Then, in trademark fashion, the pair transport audiences across an entirely different landscape, with Philip Glass’s divine yet tempestuous dance chamber opera Les Enfants Terrible, crafted by Glass’s long-time collaborator Michael Reisman.
Book tickets below for an unmissable night of live music in Manchester’s foremost classical music venue.
Tue 8 Apr, 7.30pm, The Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley St, Manchester, M2 3WS, From £8
