The Lowry’s Scratch Nights X Musical Theatre returns this November, dedicated to showcasing the next generations of musical theatre talent.

Presented as part of the theatre’s Artist Development programme, Wed 15 Nov brings an evening of new and experimental work from four up-and-coming artists.

Scratch Nights offers the artists a chance to put early ideas in front of a live audience and see what sticks; meaning audiences might be seeing the early beginnings of ideas that will one day turn into fully formed pieces.

These informal nights bring new live work to audiences and create a supportive platform for artists to experiment, take risks, test ideas on stage, and share new work with peers and wider public.

The upcoming edition will feature The Popstar by Ella Langley & Stephen Hyde, Eric the Musical by Stei Reid and Paperwork Theatre, Terminal Sound by Jack D’Arcy and Tit Swingers by Abey Bradbury and Sam Kearney-Edwardes.
