Featuring outdoor games, dance workshops, cake-decorating sessions and more, The Lowry’s 2022 Open Day promises a wondrous array of activities for visitors of all ages.
Running a combination of paid, free-to-book and drop-in events across the full day, The Lowry is set to transform both its interior spaces and outdoor plaza into a festival of entertainment and artistry, with multiple sessions taking place each hour from 9am until 4pm. Families can spend the morning decorating cupcakes, enjoying a Picture This storytelling hour or watching a short family-friendly talk, before plunging into an afternoon of dance workshops – from avante garde to Bollywood – self-led art activities and hula hooping. Those without kids might start with the Galleries Relaxed Hour, before checking out the VR film Scrum and heading to one of the pleasantly regular Gin Masterclasses.
