From Sunday 1 November visitors will once again be able to visit The Lowry’s LS Lowry collection, this time with a new and exciting addition entitled Days Like These which documents the lockdown experience through art submitted by the Salford public. Headlining this new collection will be The Frontline by Sophie McBriarty which documents 2020’s rollercoaster COVID-19 experiences whilst placing a specific emphasis on the region’s key workers.

This new exhibition also includes contributions from the public themselves, with many people sending in photographs, films and poetry work depicting the personal effects of lockdown and reflecting what many have experienced all across the world. Of course, things will not be exactly as they used to be, with COVID-19 preventative measures requiring that all guests wear face masks, remain socially distanced and have their temperature taken on entry. Both exhibitions will be free of charge and will be available to view from 11am – 4pm via bookable slots which can be secured by visiting The Lowry website.
