The Man Who Woke Up Dead at Waterside Arts Centre

Commissioned by Waterside Arts Centre and Creative Industries Trafford, Square Peg Theatre presents its second production at the end of this month: a film noir-style thriller entitled The Man Who Woke Up Dead. Set in the midst of Cold War paranoia and inspired by George Orwell’s dystopian worlds, the play explores the crossover between true and false, fact and fiction, in this dark and claustrophobic piece. Having won Creative Industries Trafford’s first To The Stage commission, Michael White and Katie Robinson (the pair behind Square Peg Theatre) have set up a blog documenting the process of the work in the build-up to its premiere, which you can follow here.
