The much-loved Manchester Rum Festival is back this summer in a new venue and at a new time but with the same world-class rum. From noon until 7pm on Saturday 28 August, the festival will take over the 4-star Mercure Hotel in Piccadilly Gardens, providing food, live music and 30 different rum brands from around the world.

Established five years ago, the event aims to bring together both casual drinkers and spirit enthusiasts, whilst also showcasing what the North West has to offer the rum renaissance. 30 rum brands from around the world will descend on the city for the festival, with expressions from single and multi-distillery producers, including Saint Benevolence, AB Gold, Ninefold and, for the first time, Montanya – as well as local brands Diablesse, Salford Rum, Witch Kings and City of Manchester Distillery.

New Cuban rum brand Black Tears, from the Island Rum Company, will also be available to sample. Altogether, over 1,000 litres of rum will be poured throughout the day. You can try one of these rums (perhaps with a Coca-Cola signature mixer, specifically designed to be paired with dark spirits) for just £30 a ticket. Find out more by following the link below.
