For a tasting session with a bit of an edge try The Moss Cider Project’s cheese and cider evening at Common as part of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival. This is a one-off event sees participants sampling artisanal and locally sourced ciders and matched with cheeses from the local area. The Moss Cider Project is a radical local initiative which transforms unwanted fruit into, yes!, cider. You can actually bring your own apples to the event to be turned into cider (or apple juice). All proceeds earned by The Moss Cider Project are channeled back into the project.
