The National have announced a special outdoor show at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl next summer.
The iconic American group will play at the amphitheatre venue on Thu 4 Jul.
They join the hugely impressive lists of acts set to appear at the venue next summer, which includes the likes of Loyle Carner, Fatboy Slim and Jungle.
Formed in New York in 1999, The National’s last five albums have all been in the Top 5 in the UK charts. 2023 has been another landmark year for the band, with the release of two studio albums: First Two Pages of Frankenstein in April and a surprise companion album, Laugh Track, released in September. They celebrated these releases with a UK tour that included two sold-out nights at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Tickets for The National at Castlefield Bowl will go on sale Fri 17 Nov.
