After more than 150 sold-out performances across the globe, Theatre Re brings its explosive, powerful and joyous production about what is left when memory is gone to The Lowry this January.

The Nature of Forgetting follows the story of Tom, who is living with early-onset dementia. The audience meets Tom as he prepares for his 55th birthday party, when past memories come flooding back.

Developed with UCL Neuroscience Professor Kate Jeffery and the Alzheimer’s Society, The Nature of Forgetting is a life-affirming journey into a weakening mind, but a testament that broken doesn’t have to mean defeated.

Described as a ‘profoundly moving, action-packed celebration of life’ by BBC Radio 4, Theatre Re combines original live music with striking visual theatre to create world-class, unforgettable productions about universal human challenges.

There will be two chances to catch the performance at The Lowry, with showings on Mon 30 Jan and Tue 31 Jan. Tickets are on sale now, you can grab yours using the button below.
