Homer’s ancient Greek epic Odyssey will be acted out in paper at Contact later this month. Fresh from an appearance at Latitude festival, The Paper Cinema will be opening up its suitcase of cut-out paper puppets and landscapes, combined with projections and visual trickery, to create a feature-length silent film version of the literature classic. The Guardian called the production, accompanied by multi-instrumentalists performing an orchestrated live score, ‘a wild journey into live animation’.
