The Portico Library reopens to the public from today

The Portico Library reopens today, and the team have also shared details on the opening of The Portico Kitchen.

Both the public and members are invited back into the stunning walls of the library from wed 1 Feb from 9.30am, while a grand reopening quiz will be taking place later that day at 6pm.

The Portico Kitchen will also become a new centre for food writing, food history and food culture, set within one of Manchester’s oldest lunch spots.

The team are in the process of installing a new kitchen that will allow The Portico to expand their food offerings. Along with a bolstered cafe menu, there will be an exciting programme of food-based events including talks, workshops and the venue’s ever-popular Portico Feasts.

More details on The Portico Kitchen are expected at the end of this month, with events expected to be up and running from the end of March.
