Promising a ‘theatrical treat for ages 4-104’, Wrongsemble’s The Snow Queen brings unmissable festive family fun to Waterside Arts with a vibrant musical reimagination of the classic Christmas fairytale from Wed 29 Nov – Sat 30 Dec.

Lumi lives in a world where an all-powerful Snow Queen supposedly controls the whether from on high – recently, however, the seasons are behaving strangely; the world is warming up, and the last snowfall is a memory so distant that the infuriatingly indifferent adult population are yet to notice the meteorological meltdown.

Taking matters into her own hands, Lumi decides to head straight to the top of the world and find answers from the Snow Queen herself, setting off on a long, action-packed journey during which she meets an assortment of wonderful new friends, from pompous polar bears to overworked elves, in an enchanting and often prescient story about how small changes can make a big difference.

Brimming with music, magic and adventure, The Snow Queen is a sustainably produced show from Yorkshire-based theatre company Wrongsemble, renowned for creating incredible theatre suited to all ages.
