On Sat 15 Mar, The Stoller Hall presents Colours of India, a night of soaring vocal wonder spanning the breadth of the nation’s unique musical traditions with Bharatiya Vrund Gaan, the Indian adult choir of England.
Formed of singers from across the UK including many from Greater Manchester, Bharatiya Vrund Gaan brings a mesmerising assortment of works from a sprawling tableau of Indian choral heritage, including folk songs, vedic hymns and poetry brought to life through tabla, harp, bansuri, harmonium and percussion.
Billed as ‘an evening of joyful, uplifting and soothing choral compositions’, Colours of India transports audiences across the rich, vibrant musical landscape of the ancient subcontinent with a diverse programme and an ensemble of acclaimed instrumentalists led by Salford-based director and conductor, Dr. Rakesh Josh.
