The StretFest has unveiled its programme of headline events ahead of this year’s edition.

Taking over the town on Sat 1 Mar, a focal point of the 2025 festival is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Stretford Public Hall’s transfer into community ownership.

Friends of Stretford Public Hall will be hosting a birthday celebration throughout the day, complete with a cake-cutting celebration at 2pm, a singalong from Stretford Uke and live music from Thingumabob and the Thingumajigs and Batala Manchester. Into the evening, the Hall will host an impressive DJ lineup curated by inclusive club night Nite School.

Serving as a key hub for the festival, the Mall will be welcoming its popular monthly event, Stretford Socials from 12pm – 4pm. The Socials will showcase an array of stalls featuring talented local makers, bakers, and community groups. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of free, family-friendly activities that promise fun for all ages.

The Mall will also be playing host to another surprise offering from the team at Rainy Heart – Stretford town centre’s pop-up listening bar.

Victoria Park will again be involved, showing a series of family films celebrating the start of Spring, alongside craft activities and a variety of refreshments served from The Tea Rooms. Over at Stretford Library, there’ll be more family fun with storytimes, poetry workshops, crafts and reading groups.

Other venues across Stretford will be laying on special events and activities throughout the day including Bakehouse32, Head Bar, Longford Tap, BrewChimp, Gigis, Colby’s, Reel Round the Fountain and Clay.
