A multi-award-winning bakery has announced it will be hosting a sourdough masterclass to raise funds for a fantastic cause.
Lovingly Artisan, which was recently named the UK’s Best Artisan Bakery for the third year on the bounce, will be hosting the workshop in support of Bounceback Food Community Kitchen and its goal of launching a permanent dedicated kitchen in Altrincham.
The charity set up its Community Kitchen on Central Way, in the summer of 2023, and has since expanded its meal drive to be able to cater for beneficiaries from the homeless community across Manchester.
Alongside that, the organisation hosts a wide range of fundraising events, largely thanks to its ‘buy one, give one’ lunch menu. All of this has meant the team has been able to deliver over 400 meals each week to fourteen partner food banks and sheltered accommodation sites across the city.
The sourdough class will be hosted at the Bounceback Community Kitchen at Altrincham Market by Lovingly Artisan’s expert bakers Aidan Monks and Catherine Connor on Sat 8 Mar, and forms part of Altrincham’s inaugural A Taste of Altrincham event, which runs from Fri 28 Feb – Sun 9 Mar.
A Taste of Altrincham is a brand-new event organised by Altrincham BID designed to showcase a 10-day celebration of the town’s vibrant food and drink scene, with events including interactive demos, culinary classes and workshops, supper clubs, and chef demonstrations, as well as a whole host of special offers.
Tickets to Lovingly Artisan’s sourdough workshop are priced at £10pp with all proceeds supporting Bounceback’s efforts to tackle food insecurity and food waste across the UK. You can book your spot using the button below.
