Theatre will be taking on an experimental twist with Labolis: Threshold, the latest installment of immersive theatre from The Ultra Violets. With 10 time slots across the two-day period, the event will blend roaming theatre with elements of role-play, riddle-solving and audience interaction, as well as guerrilla filmmaking from Bolton-based collective The Film Shed, who will covertly document each session. Commissioned by Cornerhouse, Labolis: Threshold presents a carefully constructed urban labyrinth to engage physically and mentally the intimate teams of 8 participants, using mythical characters and surreal situations to create a baffling new world. Each team will begin at Hope Mill in Ancoats, before being whisked away to a second secret location to progress into the depths of the game.

Sat 31 Aug – Sun 1 Sep, Starting at AWOL Studios, Hope Mill, 113 Pollard Street, Ancoats, Manchester M4 7JA, Various time slots, www.ultraviolets.org.uk
