A new plant-based burger spot is coming to the Northern Quarter later this month, as The Vurger Co. prepares to open its first spot outside of London and the South East.

The meat-free fast-food restaurant has proved a hit during its time in London and Brighton, and the upcoming NQ spot will be its largest and most ambitious to date.

The Vurger Co. will be part of the Transmission House development on Tib Street, hosting over 50 covers and will be open seven days a week.

Visitors will be able to enjoy plant-based takes on fast-food classics like the New York Melt; Beyond Meat patty topped with double vegan cheese, gherkins, tomato and house-made burger sauce, and the Buffalo Vurger; crispy ‘chicken’ patty dipped in buffalo hot sauce, topped with vegan mozzarella, gherkins, crispy onion and house-made baconnaise.

Rachel Hugh, Co-Founder of The Vurger Co.explained: “This is a really exciting time for us at TheVurger Co. We’ve worked hard to establish ourselves in London &Brighton and can’t wait to be part of the thriving restaurant & food scene in Manchester, one of our favourite cities. Customers can expect amazing plant-based food, packed with texture & flavour that’s fun & delicious.”

The Vurger Co. is set to open in Manchester on Sat 30 Apr.
