The Weekender, a new retail and dining experience, will have its debut at Old Granada Studios later this month. The venue’s creative space, known as The Workshop, will become a gallery-style concept store, where designer-makers and independent brands will showcase their wares. There will be fashion, accessories and homeware from some of the region’s most acclaimed designers including Jade Mellor, Object Style, and Wonderhaus. You’ll also find a selection of local artisanal food and drink producers. Casual dining will come by way of Mary-Ellen McTague, the acclaimed head chef of Aumbry. For cocktails, Bitter Twisted will be on hand with their mobile bar, based the back of a classic Citroen van. Resident DJs, activities for kids, and a pop-up cinema round out The Weekender’s many attractions.

Sat 20 & Sun 21 Jun, The Workshop @ Old Granada Studios, Quay Street, M3 3JE, Sat 11am – 7pm, Sun 11am – 4pm, FREE entry, oldgranadastudios.com
