A brand-new gastro-style pub is set to open in Didsbury Village next month, taking over the former Botanist site.

Alongside a comprehensive beer and cocktail menu, diners will be able to tuck into pub classics that make use of high-quality produce.

Expect no-nonsense favourites like Ham, Eggs & Chips with a roast pineapple salsa, Steak Pie and ‘proper’ mash, Fish & Chips and a dedicated grill serving locally-sourced Ribeye, Sirloin and Fillet Steak.

Roasts will also be available on Sunday, with suppliers including local butcher Jack Wood, and Didsbury Fishmonger, Evans.

The menu has been developed by a team of highly experienced chefs, with over 35 years experience within the industry working in The Savoy and for global brands such as Audi and Land Rover.

The venue will have a new look and feel with a number of cosmetic changes taking place including the addition of hidden TV screens to allow key games and occasionally live sports to be shown, an interior refurbishment and additional outdoor space created for the Summer.

The Wishing Well will also host a live music schedule featuring local musicians, supporting the wider Didsbury arts community as well as a selection of events to launch in due course.

Tables can be reserved now ahead of the pub’s opening on Sat 1 Apr.
