Arguably one of Samuel Beckett’s most important works, Endgame comes to HOME in collaboration with Citizens Theatre, Glasgow. In typically claustrophobic and painful style, the play explores a difficult relationship, with Artistic Director Dominic Hill applying his talent of reinterpreting classic texts in contemporary style. A one-act play with four characters, there’s nowhere for the audience or actors to hide as they verbally taunt and struggle with one another. Chris Gascoyne and David Neilson may have graced Coronation Street’s cobbles for many years, but they’ve also got a wealth of theatre experience as two of the North West’s acting stalwarts. They take to the stage to depict the complex duo.
