WTF Wednesdays is a new series of events from The Lowry that celebrates the bleeding edge of new, contemporary theatre that aims to engage all of a curious bent. For the WTF Wednesday at the end of May, The Lowry hosts Amy Bell’s new work The Forecast. Bell dances and talks her way through the performance as she is immersed in a digital soundscape whilst dealing with the very real human emotions of change and forecasting. Amy Bell’s work is concentrated on gender and identity and has previously worked on MIF events such as Cotton Panic with Jane Horrocks and this latest performance is one that should challenge and question the audience’s notions of gender and identity. As with all WTF Wednesday events, this is a pay what you decide event, so booking and turning up early is advised. For more information, check out the trailer below.
