You’d think thirteen instalments in these guys may have mellowed out a little, but the Gesamtkunstwerk crew are absolutely pulling no punches with this riotous bill of seething, spitting, mechanised fury. Sub-Mechanical, one half of duo Cloaks, takes the gloves off for his headline position and promises to decimate with a building collapsing mix of sternum crushing beat mechanics and wailing dread atmospherics that would have Mika Vainio cowering in the factory floor corner. Perhaps the best band name we’ve heard on the site in sometime, GunCleaner (pictured) steamroller the senses with jack-hammer percussion and a smattering of panoramic, near-nausea inducing barrage of manipulated samples like some mutated alien-cousin of classic Detroit techno. With UKAEA behind the wheels of steel, along with regulars VULJ and HESS, this Gesamt is gonna leave you cold-clocked, dazed and all the better for it.
