Piccadilly Gardens may be dappled with the ancient gum once chewed by Mancunions past, but beneath its grime and gloom Manchester sure has a lot of charm. This iconic city boasts a landscape that is rich with history and constantly developing, having fully embraced every change in technology and innovation. Even after that fateful day in 1996 when an IRA bomb struck the metropolis, it still managed to bounce back with a beautiful resilience. This is Manchester 2013 is an exhibition showcasing what Manchester has become, with the works of twenty local photographers who have collaborated to create a representation of the modern urban city. Each has implored their various disciplines to interpret what they see within this sprawling giant, so expect a wide variety of snaps for you to mull over whilst giving your beard a gentle and contemplative stroke.
