Expect indie-pop melodies galore as Leeds favourites This Many Boyfriends return to Manchester. Influenced by The Wedding Present, The Vaselines and The Lemonheads, the band – named after a Beat Happening song – ooze the kind of fun you wish more bands would have on stage. New single Number One was critically acclaimed when it came out earlier this month and they are currently touring their debut album. Joining the proceedings at Underachievers Please Try Harder (a clubnight and indie disco known for showcasing the best in new music) are Omi Palone, an indie four-piece from London, plus DJs until 3am.
