Off The Hook, the gay/gay-friendly/whatever party devoted to the best in RnB and hip-hop, is putting another tough Manchester winter behind it and bounding into the spring with bass, beats and booze at the ready. Resident DJ Gregling is gearing up to spend as much time behind decks as possible ahead of a major spring and summer of parties of all description. His other venture Drunk At Vogue is back to host the launch party of Manchester International Festival in July, while Gregling himself flies solo to DJ dates in the Festival Pavilion. Add to that a top-secret, all-new venture on Friday 24 April (hint: the Electroclash revival is coming), plus a warm-up Drunk At Vogue on Friday 8 May, and 2015 is shaping up to be a bonanza year for dancing in the city. While MIF tickets might be all sold out, Off The Hook is first-come-first-served as always, kicking off this Saturday night and returning to the scene of the crime on 11 April.
