Whether you’re continuing the good habits you picked up during Dry January or casting the past aside, there is plenty to look forward to at the famous Northern Quarter Makers Market this Sunday. In the spirit of the new year, familiar faces will be joined by rising stars including floristry by Tangled Up In Blooms and artisan jewellery from Naomi Cam. Located in the heart of independent Manchester, arts and crafts are a staple of the Northern Quarter and with Valentine’s Day around the corner, Eclectic Creations by Jo and The Naked Candle Co might be just the ticket. Food wise, What’s your Beef will be serving world-class burgers alongside handmade gyozas from Wallace and Sons and savouries galore at the Vegan Pie Co. Alcohol is in liberal supply (we are well into February, after all) so stock up on gin, vodka and beer from the likes of Rose Cottage Gins and I Love Vodka. Those with a sweet tooth will find their hearts desire at Buxton Cake. DJs bring a party vibe; a longer browse than expected is par for the course at the Makers Market. See you there.
Sun 12 Feb, Stevenson Square, Northern Quarter, M1 1DB, 11am – 5pm, FREE www.themakersmarket.co.uk
