Stevenson Square has always been a hub of creativity in the Northern Quarter, a natural home for independent shops and bars such as Fred Aldous art store, Eastern Bloc records – and many more. So there’s no better place for the monthly Makers Market to set up shop. The market takes place the first Sunday of the month – and this one is bigger than ever, with nearly 100 independent traders on board. Whether you are on a mission for something special, or just fancy a browse, the options include freshly baked breads from Wye Bakehouse and the quirky, eye catching prints by Statement Art. Arts and crafts traders include String Effects hand made jewellery and eye catching art work by Baiba Auria. You won’t go hungry either: tuck into Mediterranean mezze from  the Ottomen, the bulging burger creations by What’s Your Beef, or even a smoked, authentic German bratwurst (In The Dog Haus.Music is another draw too: local DJ Pasta Paul will be keeping the good vibes going with his relaxed Sunday set on the decks. All in all an excellent way to spend a Sunday surrounded by the best the Northern Quarter has to offer.
