The best bazaar in town hits the Northern Quarter on Sunday 13 August. The Makers Market pools the talent of over 90 creative vendors from Manchester and beyond, taking in vintage stalls, arts and crafts, street food and live entertainment. Look out for Fabrikk UK’s vegan bags, fire extinguisher lamps from Relic Engineering, and dramatic art from I Love Upcycle. Food options include Hezzy’s cannon ball-sized onion bhajis, Ginger’s Comfort Emporium’s addictive ice cream (the peanut butter and salted caramel edition is called Chorlton Crack for good reason), and barbecued bratwurst treats from In The Dog Haus. Meet Manchester’s designers, bakers and artists in person, with the rain being kept at bay by tunes from the Northern Quarter’s favourite DJ, Pasta Paul, or just chill out in the square and take in the good vibrations.
