Over 90 local artisans will be on hand at Spinningfields this weekend for two days of food, drink, art, crafts and music to put a spring in your step. Food to take away includes gingerbread teacakes from The Biscuit Tin, award-winning ‘growler’ pies (aka big ones) from the Cumbrian Pie Company and your four-legged friends are in for a treat too with Dorien’s Doggie Delights. For proper meals on the go, the choices include What’s Your Beef (burgers), finger-licking chicken courtesy of Oh My Glaze and the self-explanatory Joe On The Go. Spring cleaning doesn’t just mean throwing stuff out – why not create a new vibe with prints and original artwork by animal artist and illustrator Sarah Gregory, wooden creations from Crann Darach Design and local photography by Ben Sedman and David Brogan. Other attractions includes unique found objects from Gizmobots, old fairground signs and more from Just Vintage What Nots and Nora B’s shabby-chic treasure chest. Music is provided by Mancunian powerhouse Pasta Paul on Saturday and Tom Malam on Sunday. Listen to the best in funk, soul, disco and laid back beats, perfect for a weekend stroll.
