The service started in London in 2013 and works with names like Umezushi, Solita and Almost Famous. More than 100 restaurants are available through Deliveroo and each has its own page with a simple, easy to choose from menu online. Simply click on dishes to add them to your basket and, ta-dah, your food is ready. Starting this week, we’re going to be highlighting some of the most interesting dishes available in Manchester through Deliveroo. We’re focusing on Asian dishes this week, from Indian, China and Japan. Simply click on the link to place your order now.
1. Scottish salmon biryani at Asha’s
Explore contemporary, Michelin-rated Indian flavours at your desk or at home. Dishes available from Manchester’s most elegant new curry house, Asha’s, include Scottish Salmon Biryani with cashew nuts, and a ‘creative curry’ selection which includes a Hyderabadi chicken dish called Kodi Curry made with yoghurt, coconut milk and crispy fried spinach. Food from Asha’s pictured.

2. Spicy Japanese fried chicken or tofu (kara-age) at Oishi Q
This cult Japanese restaurant based just off Oxford Road serves everything from flavoursome yakitori skewers to donburi rice dishes. We recommend the chicken kara-age – a kind of Japanese take on KFC – or for veggies, the spicy tofu kara-age.

3. Steamed Cantonese dim sum from Ocean Treasure
Why not order a platter of steamed dim sum from this leading Cantonese restaurant to share? Dishes span the Cantonese spectrum; we particularly like the steamed dim sum Chicken and prawn dumpings (sui mai), steamed chopped ribs with garlic and BBQ pork in a fluffy white bun.
