England is overflowing with brilliant weekend activities. From St Anne’s International Kite Festival to Thornbridge brewery’s foodie Peakender, and a festival all about saving money (Redcar’s Thrift Festival) we’ve picked out a few highlights. Watch this space for more.
1. Thornbridge Brewery’s Peakender
Love beer, street food, live music and the Peak District? This established festival, run by Thornbridge Brewery, is mostly, but not all about beer. Look out for guest ales from Beavterown, Magic Rock, Tiny Rebel, Siren Craft Brew, Northern Monk and more. Food comes from the likes of Red’s True BBQ and Dim Sum Su, while live music takes in local talent and the best in roots and blues.

2. St Anne’s International Kite Festival (pictured)
Does what it says on the tin, with extras including an appearance from Kuwait’s Al-Farsi Kite Team and a ‘teddy parachute drop’. There’s a night flight and firework show the night before the main event too, from 7pm.

3. Thrift Festival
A family-focused occasion exploring how to live more sustainably and creatively, while saving money. Taking in demonstrations, stalls, talks and workshops there’s everything to like about this one.
